That's All Folks!
Wow! The year is almost over! This will be the last blog for this school year so I thought it would be nice for you to have your say.
For the last week's blog entry you can leave your final thoughts for the year. Say anything you want...to me...to your friends...to your family...to the world for that matter! Basically, it's all about you! If you go to Vocaroo (TechnoFun) you could even leave me a recorded message. Can't wait to read (or listen to) your responses...

Let's Not Forget Dear Old Dad!
Father's Day is coming! Father's Day is coming! Next Sunday, June 19th to be exact, we will celebrate Father's Day. Since we got to write aboutwhat our moms can do that no one else can do, I thought we should do the same for our dads. What do you love about your dad most? Try to think of three things that make your dad so special and unique. I know your dad can do more than three awesome things but you only have to write about three! Parents can join in on the fun by writing about their own dads too! The more the merrier! In the comment box below, list your top three favourite things about your dad.
Three things I love about my dad are...
He is a great hugger!
He thinks of me as his 'little' girl (keep in mind I am almost 44!)
He always tells me he loves me!

JUNE...Acrosticaly Speaking!
June is just around the corner...summer is getting closer! When you think of June, what comes to mind? This week you are asked to write an acrostic poem based on the month of JUNE.
An acrostic poem is a type of poem where the first letter in the word (JUNE) is used to write a sentence. To start, write the letters J U N E down the side of a piece of paper. Then brainstorm words that begin with each letter and describe the month of June.Type your acrostic in the comment box below. If you need help, you can use the READ WRITE THINK Acrostic Poem Maker.
Check out below for a sample acrostic I made...let me see how creative you can be!

The Tables are Turned
A big thank you to the students who have begun to comment on our blog. It is a great way to practice our keyboarding skills and learn a little bit more about each other. I enjoyed reading your responses about your two wishes and a star! Now it's time to turn the tables.

For this week's response, you get to ask me a question!
Is there anything you would like to know about me?
I will do my best to answer all of your questions to the best of my ability. So, this is your chance...ask away! The sky's the limit.

Accomplishments and Goals
Wow! I can't believe it is the middle of May already! Time really does seem to fly...don't you think (or maybe it's an age thing). It's time to start reflecting on our year together. We have less than two months left to go in grade five so I thought it would be a good time for you to reflect on your accomplishments this year. Did you get better at something or finally understood something in math? Also, what goals are you going to set for yourself (we can always try to get better at something, right?) Are there any things you would like to work on and improve upon? How can you achieve these goals? What do you think? Tell me two stars and a wish you have to end this year before your last year at St. Stephen...what are two things that you did really well this year (or showed the most improvement in) and one goal you have for either the remaining time in grade 5 or next year in grade 6?
So...what are your...
Two Stars
One Wish
Look forward to your responses!
